FOUR ARRESTED ON SUSPECTED STOLEN LIVESTOCK

Roadside: 13 May 2024-* The Roadside police have arrested four suspects from Bethlehem and Qwaqwa with five suspected stolen cattle and seized all exhibits.

On 11 May 2024 at about 06:30 the police received information from farming community of suspected stolen stock at Reitz. They followed it up and found a Toyota double cab with four occupants pulling trailer with five cattle using farm gravel road between Reitz and Roadside. With the assistance of private security, the police also seized a rope, brand marking steels, a gas bottle, a hammer, a pair of boots, and a pair of trousers at the crime scene.

The four suspects aged between 29 and 69 have been charged and expected to appear before the Vrede Magistrate court on Monday, 13 May 2024, facing charges of possession of suspected stolen livestock
